My Memoirs

A Series of Short Stories

My collection of short stories are a true testament of my experiences throughout my years of being raped as a child by my Pop.

My stories stretch over a period of time, from when it all started around 3 or 4 until now. They are raw, explicit and at times gut wrenchingly sad. They will make you angry. They may make you cry? They will however, open the darkness and shine the light on the secrets so many little people endure and hide.

My intention is to tell the truth about the severity (with a level of restraint) of what little children experience when an adult is sexually assaulting them. In return the resurrection of hope for survivors of such crimes will contribute to a more transparent society and the stigma and shame will continue to diminish.

Hopefully, my stories will encourage others to share their own experiences and together we can chip away at what is still such a secretive crime.

Short Story 1

'I am fortunate enough to call Tara a dear friend for more than 30 years..

The Ford Cortina is a raw insight into her world and takes the reader back to the life of an innocent beautiful little soul that wanted someone to save her and protect her from the most heinous brazen crimes.

It is revealing and shocking at times, as horrific experiences are relived, giving insight into the crazed mind of a sexual predator and the excruciating world of the chosen victim.

Ford Cortina...Brave, honest, raw and deeply moving.'
